Some great dancing last night, Jamie and Karen were best in show for us. I did'nt enjoy Caroline and Johannes dance at all and felt sorry for Clara and Aljaz as it just was'nt their dance. Loved Ranvir and Giovanni doing the Argentine Tango. I don't know who has gone home or for sure who was even in the bottom 2 this week.

I think I know who has gone home but the other person in the dance off seems to be up for debate at the minute. Really enjoyed the show and love Anton as a judge.

I've seen a spoiler on FB and it's what I thought would happen, not sure if it's right though.

We thought the show was great on saturday night. So many good dancers left in the competition this year. Such a shame about Clara, we really felt sorry for her. Maisie and Gorka were smashing, dance of the night for us and her dress was beautiful.

I really enjoyed the show too Ladygardener, miss Anton as a judge. I have to get home for ITT now, I'm enjoying the fleckle challenge and really like the sneak peak at the costumes!

We were delighted Maisie and Gorka were'nt in the bottom 2 this week. Shame about Clara and Aljaz, I felt very sorry for her when she made so many mistakes. We've not caught up with last night's ITT but will watch later on all being well. Musical week next saturday, should be good.

I was glad Maisie wasn't in the bottom 2 as well Ladygardener. I gave her all 3 of my votes - perhaps that helped!

Every little helps Jasmine and hopefully lots of other people will think that tonight as well. I do like musical week.

I've seen a clip of the pro dance - think it was Priscilla Queen of the Desert - certainly looked that way!

The pro dance was great, I hardly recognised Gorka! Another good show, I don't know the spoiler but my bottom 2 would be Bill and JJ. Only 2 weeks left.

I've seen the spoiler and I'm not sure I agree, but I'm not a judge so what do I know !!!!

I thought the pro dance was brilliant - Johannes got to get his stilletto boots out again, think Gio had the same but Gorka looked like he'd gone for sturdier heels although they were high - sort of cuban style. Anyway, thought they were fab! If I was to dance I would need trainers!

Yes the pro dance was really great, Gorka's heels were a bit 70's so he got away with it. I'd noticed when we saw the training clip on ITT.

What a great show last night. They all did their best. I was delighted Maisy got such high scores she's a dream to watch.

The spoiler confirmed my fears

I felt like that Barbara, there was so much 'this person, no that person' and then it was confirmed I didn't think Bill's tango was very good at all, he just wasn't quite fierce enough. Maisie was great and I really wonder why Hvry was the only poor soul to have to try a rhumba. Final should be good but it's between two of them really!

I don't like the rhumba, or the Argentine tango, too stiff for my tastes.

I don't like the rhumba either. I think Ranvir did her best and did well to get so far. Learning 3dances will be hard going this week, even if one is one they've already done.

It sounded like they were doing their own choice so no Judges' choice this year

Yes Bill and Oti were on it takes 2 and explained why they chose the dances they're doing Jasmine. Ranvir and Geovanni were on as well, she did seem upset not to be in the final.

Poor Ranvir, she was a ballroom dancer though. How was Gio about it Ladygardener?

Gio seemed to be holding himself in check and was quite controlled it seemed to me Jasmine. I guess he is careful what he says as he does'nt want to burn bridges etc..... He did say that Ranvir got a lot out of the experience and he was more proud of what she'd achieved through self awareness etc... than anyone else he'd ever mentored or something like that. The strictly bbc site has put up the dances for Saturday night. Our four remaining couples are competing for the coveted Glitterball this week, so they've got to bring their A-game more than ever before. They'll be performing three routines on Saturday, including their own favourite from the series, a spectacular Showdance and a Judges' Pick. So let's reveal them all right now... Bill and Oti: Favourite dance: Couple's Choice: Street/Commercial to Rapper's Delight by The Sugarhill Gang Showdance: The Show Must Go On by Queen Judges' Pick: Quickstep to Talk To The Animals by Bobby Darin Maisie and Gorka Favourite dance: Quickstep to When You're Smiling by Andy Williams Showdance: We Need A Little Christmas by Idina Menzel Judges' Pick: Samba to Samba (Conga) by Gloria Estefan HRVY and Janette Favourite dance: American Smooth to One (Singular Sensation) from A Chorus Line Showdance: Boogie Wonderland by Brittany Murphy Judges' Pick: Jive to Faith by Stevie Wonder featuring Ariana…

So there is a judges' pick, I'm glad about that. They have done so well with the show this year all things considered.
What do you think about Bruno - I haven't missed him and what a huge salary for his tiny appearances, although he has been better being zoomed in rather than being there in person!

Post by Ladygardener on Dec 16, 2020 11:48:40 GMT
No I've not missed Bruno either Jasmine, but when I think of the months that people got paid a substantial part of their wages for furlow it would seem a bit mean for the BBC not to pay him at least part of his normal salary maybe.. We've loved this series and were really ready for it above all years. I think some of the CTG was a bit odd but we like how they've managed to bring it to us all the same.

Good point Ladygardener! They did really well and I preferred bits of it, I didn't miss the audience but then again, I do like a mole!

Absolutely, thank goodness for moles. Funny too, we enjoyed trying to see what the professionals who'd been put out were wearing as they sat at their little tables. Some beautiful outfits on the ladies that were classy looking rather than ballgowns if you know what I mean.
