I've just found this thread. What a fab sight to see every day Barbara. Think of the leaf mould you could make from all those beautiful leaves Jasmine.

At the allotments we have a dozen lime trees, I fill one of those builders bags and don't get all of them, there are hundreds /thousands still left, they rot down to next to nothing.

This is the shady bed and the autumn colours are a little past their best now but I've enjoyed seeing the cornus and viburnum change colour and the hydrangeas fade slowly away.

Lovely colours there Jasmine, Autumn really is a lovely time of year for tree watchers, the amount along the side of the M 60 is staggering.

Oh it's lovely Jasmine, Hydrangea have the most wonderful autumn colours don't they. I like that yellow tree there as well. We're enjoying the colours while we can.

It really is a lovely season isn't it Barbara and Ladygardener? When I was sweeping up the leaves on the drive yesterday I noticed how many colours were in the pile. I belong to a Jeep Renegade group on FB - mostly girl owners and mostly American so the photos they post of their Jeeps (I don't post pictures of mine!) at the minute are stunning with the autumn trees.

Yes indeed it is Jasmine, and I'm able to take full advantage of it living here with Jenny. I've collected a couple of bags of leaves from here in the garden too, the colours are absolutely wonderful. I'm sure that in parts of America it's a stunning time with all the incredible colours of the leaves and for some reason I think of them as having dryer weather than us.
