It thrives on neglect Ladygardener, it had been forgotten on a shelf in the conservatory until about three weeks ago. It is a lovely colour .

My mum always had one out in the hall window at the top of the stairs maggy, I've never been any good with them although I did try years ago.

Verry nice Maggy
We don't have many pot plants.
My wife always has a few orchids on the go.
But we've had these "hanging baskets" for about thirty years.
We did until recently have some peace lilies in them but they got a bit woody, so I chucked them out and bought these.
At the moment we've had them for a couple of months.
They are in the plastic pots in which they came and then in ceramic pots, in which I drilled three holes and attached hanging basket chains.
They are attached to longer strong chains to hooks in the first floor ceiling that pass through the plasterboard and are secured to "noggings" I fixed between two rafters in the loft. So no danger of them falling.
Unfortunately, they don't get a lot of light except from the landing window. So we have to change them now and again.
We've also these lilies on the landing
And these in the lounge fireplace.
They are all artificial!
I think I should mention that I use a free photo hosting site for photos I post on various message boards. IMGBB
In that way they don't take up too much of the memory capacity of any board they are on.

As part of her Christmas present, a friend has bought my wife these miniature pink roses in small pots.
She bought her similar ones last year, which were cream in colour.
When they'd finished in January, I moved them into bigger pots and put them on the patio steps.
They produced a succession of blooms from May to October.
I'll do the same with the new ones.

Love those roses doghouseriley , I always plant my miniatures outside when they are finished in the house. Your wife and I have similar tastes I have about five orchids on the go , only one in flower at the moment, and I have a vase of the same artificial white lilies.

What is it Cheerypeabrain ,? Can't be an Amarilys. Rephrase might be. And if it is a Clivia it is flowering real early.

It looks like a clivia to me , but I think in centrally heated houses plants just do their own thing, it is lovely I used to have one years ago along with lots of other house plants, but once we started motorhoming they had to go as we were away a couple of months at a time, I will have to get back into them.

It is a clivia Dutchy, a Christmas present from my brother. I think that it will probably sulk for a bit now as it had been forced into lower for Christmas.

It might not mind, just give it a spell of sleep once the flower is gone. Mine sits on a cupboard and has not had any water since November. I start watering when it shows signs of wanting to flower somewhere in April.

Bought a bird of paradise plant. Didn't realise how tall it grows, 2 metres. Will need a large pot.
