Some shots from this evening. The lights and the fountain are controlled by four switches behind the lounge curtains. "We rarely turn them on as the neighbours complain that the street lights go dim if we do."

Our garden is full of solar lights, like a mini Blackpool illuminations I love to look out of the bedroom window when it is dark and see all the pretties, even some of our neighbours have now invested too, so it enlarges the vista.

We've several solar lights, I do like them, had them for years, they were "cheepos." I put them away in the Autumn after taking out the batteries and cleaning them up, spraying the contacts with switch cleaner and wiping down the metal poles with WD40.
But over the years the rain gets in them when they are in use and rusts the contacts. I can revive them with bits of wire to assist the rusted contacts. But not all of them. I've changed the batteries a few times, some can last all night others just a few hours. Weve about ten on the go, but there may be fewer working next year.

They do add a bit of magic to the night garden, yours look very pretty. Ours are mostly cheap ones and they stay out all year. My OH repairs them, even down to cutting off the bits with lights still working and making shorter strands as long as the solar panel is still functioning properly.
