Contact the Cats Protection League Shrub, they have people who can foster them afterwards (like my Mum). I'd love to help you out but the other half won't let me have any more <sulks> Thanks April. I'll give them a ring and see how the land lies, eh? I'd love someone like you to have one as I know they'd be loved to death ;D hehe Just a bit!!

Piccies NOW please Shrubby!!! C3D, that is a brilliant photo of Rani and the kitten ;D Tig, what's the latest on your girl's leg trouble? Nightowl Cat is back to her sleepy self, seems like the hole she made got rid of the rest of the infection, and the fur is growing back on her leg where the vet shaved it. I think she is being stalked by a blooming squirrel that keeps coming into the garden though - don't want the thing biting her! x Tig

Just now watched your video Tig thanks for posting it She certainly seems to like getting brushed, my cat is the same but has been known to attack me when I stop!. Haven't seen a brush like that in the pet shop I go to.

No... when the pupils are large and they have that look about them, they're stalking.

No I just know what stalking looks like because I've seen it many times when they've been approaching my feet... it's what normally appears just before they are next hanging off my sock...

Yes I saw those eyes tonight - doing a tummy tickle ... and then suddenly claws, teeth, bunny kicking back legs ... If I say 'No claws' she stops and just looks at me as if to say 'I thought we were just playing' I tell you -- I've been cat-napped - how do they do it - find a numpty to adopt them x Tig

It is just as bad Tiggy being Dogged. My two doggies rule the house they really do. I have to get up early cos they want their breakfast - no peace if I dont. Cant go to bed too early cos of their last evening "toilet" otherwise it is a 2am "wake up want the toilet" bark One of them now is whingeing in the Kitchen so will have to get up and see what it is they want

Anyone know how to stop a cat stalking them? Sometimes my cat stalks me when I'm going upstairs or if I'm crying. He has a strange look on his face and kind of creeps up on me or circles me. He'll really attack me and I have to lock him in the kitchen untill he calms down. Does'nt happen very often but when it does I have to try to outrun him upstairs or grab him and hold him so he cant attack me. He's been doing it for a long time albeit infrequently. Most of the time he sits on my lap and is as good as gold.

A loud clap of the hands and "NO" should do it. You have to assert yourself as leader of the pack. You provide the food etc. Imagine if you were another cat he was doing it to, they would growl, hiss, spit and probably fight to ascertain dominance over the other. You're always going to win cos you're much bigger (no offence!)
I know people say that cats own you (and we all know it's true) but you do still have to have the basic animal ground rules and remember where they originally came from.

So that's where I've been going wrong all these years April. I always talk really gently to him when he behaves like that and tell him he's a good boy. ;D

Before I chuck him in the kitchen. ;D Thanks for your good advice April I'll definately try that next time. I might even try hissing at him. ;D

I've hissed at my cats before and they've looked rather surprised. It stopped them doing what they were doing though. You just need to disrupt their current behaviour as you would if a dog was playing up. Mine are familiars anyway so don't misbehave

(I've had to reply to my own post because, for some reason, it won't let me put text with my photos).
She's already settled in and is quite at ease with us.She's very affectionate. Henry is not too impressed though. They've had a hiss and a swipe at each other, now he chooses to ignore her and us and is sulking. But I'm sure with loads of fuss he'll soon come round.

When I had 2 cats when I lived in London, I had the same problem. It took about 4-5 days for them to settle in together and they then ignored each other for most of the time. Missy looks quite shy to me and Henry is a lovely old gentleman EG. ;D I think gremlins are on the board this morning, I've had loads of problems. Hopefully it'll sort itself out. ;D

I'd normally recommend keeping them apart to start with so they get used to each other's smell being around, then fussing them both in turn to mingle their scents before eventually letting them see each other.
Congratulations on giving a needy cat a loving home xx

Why do cats sleep in strange places ? We found smudge here (I think the sink must have been dry)

My goodness - that must be the coldest hardest place on earth - Smudge hadnt been naughty had he/she? And was wearing a "hair shirt" as a punishment to itself
