I know. They were a cute pair together and it's such a shame because he had such a good home.
We wondered if that's what the little black one died of when we first had the 5 of them to foster.

I'm glad Auricula, I've never had a cat free home, don't think I could stand it. Must admit I've been a bit tempted recently (if my 2 would put up with it). One of the guys at work has recently got a 1/2 Maine Coon crossed with the local ginger tom. A more gorgeous (huge) bundle you've never seen i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif. Goes by the name of Archie, the kitten that is. Jillyx

I occasionally have a quick look through this thread, and I have to admit, it puts me in two minds. I believe all life is sacred but I wouldn't want to live next door to an alligator. As a bird lover, I can't help wondering how they see those cute, furry, little animals.

Mr GF has three cats and they are the love of her life - they have numerous beds dotted around the house; squishy cushions, special cat beds with hole in front and fluffy cushions inside, a cat sofa and a cat lounger and a sort of cat swing seat and the most popular place they can be found is IN THE WASTE PAPER BASKET

POOR HENRY! sadly we had to have Henry put to sleep. He had liver failure and there was a list of other problems the vet found to do with his breathing. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/cry.gif I've just spent nearly an hour going over this whole thread. What beautiful cats you all have. We have a cat,Henry,he's 16. I was there at his birth. We had his mother from a kitten.Unfortunately she died two years ago. Henry never does more than he has to,as you can see. [img src="http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc130/gypsymidge/cbdg043.jpg" img] This one was taken on one of those extremely rare occaisions when Henry managed to open his eyes.Notice he has one ear up and the other down. The floppy ear is due to an operation he had to have after severley bashing it on a table leg whilst frantically chasing his tail. MISSY is still with us and as scatty as ever. Missy and Henry seem to have sorted out their differences now. She sometimes hisses at him when he walks past but he just ignores her. She has learnt to use the cat flap now so hopefully she will soon be using "next doors garden" like Henry does, instead of the litter tray." (Their garden is unused and neglected).

I'm so sorry to hear about Henry its heartbreaking when you have to let them go but the last thing you want is for them to suffer, glad you still have Missy to take some of the pain away.

Sorry to hear about Henry EG , it sounds (and looks from the pictures) like he had a lovely long contented life with you. I always think that not letting them suffer at the end is the last kind thing you can do for them (hard as it may be for us). Jillyx

Totally agree with Jilly, it can be cruel to keep them alive just because we don't want to let go ourselves. It is very hard when they are part of the family, but you have the memories of his long and happy life. Thinking of you
