...and an actress called Amanda Abbington. I only know Angela Rippon and although she's 78 she still does ballet apparently - do you remember her dancing on The Morecambe and Wise Show....a very long time ago!

The BBC are posting the names of their contestants on the TV red button news with a brief explanation of who they are for people like me who haven't a clue about them and care less, (it's hardly "news" is it?)
Time to ditch this nonsense programme.

Fifth contestant is Eddie Kadi!
Rumours...Several other names have been heavily rumoured for spots in the cast recently, from soap star Nigel Harman to presenter/comedian Les Dennis, but these are yet to be officially confirmed. Also rumoured...a Love Island signing – which would be a first for the show.
If there is anyone from Love Island in the show I will definitely not know who they are!!!
This is season 21 apparently!

I love the sparkle and fun over winter, then Strictly finishes, Call the Midwife starts and then it's spring!!! Not that I am measuring seasonal joy by telly programmes. It can't be doing badly to have lasted 21 years!

Another reveal this morning is Nikita Kanda, I think there was another I missed as they said she is the 9th one
going to search for who I missed. Adam Thomas is the 8th name, Waterloo road is him home.

Just found this thread now, we're really looking forward to the show. It does'nt really matter if we don't know most of them, we soon get to know them. Jasmine, Angela Rippon on M&W was the 1st thing I did remember when I heard she was going to be on it. |

I used to enjoy it too before, successive producers "improved it to death." I've not watched it for several years, it's got so tacky.
It's sad if this is all people have to make them smile on winter nights. But I don't mind if some like it.

We enjoyed the show on saturday night, everyone put in a lot of effort and of course some people are naturally gifted as well. It was a really good start to the strictly season. I think it's fair enough that nobody went home but a good few will be in danger this coming saturday. I always think personality goes a long way too Tig and some who were rubbish dancers stayed in for weeks due to the public enjoying them for one reason or another apart from their dancing.  |
