My peas are up outside. Sugar snaps that I wanted to use to see what would eat them. So far they have not been discovered.
Not sure if I will grow them for pea shoots or will let them go for pods.

I sowed some extra and decided to let the ones I have already grow big. Things have finally started growing. The light levels must be getting better. Next week will be cold again so I will see what that does to the little pea plants.

For the 1st time I saved some of our peas last year and a few days ago I sowed 2 pots of them and set them into the utility room, with the tumble dryer being on so much it's quite warm. They're up now and will get set outside this weekend once a few more are through the soil. Not sure which sort but likely HGS.

My peas have been outside for about 10 days or so now and are growing strong and very sturdy. I put them into the raised trough when the temperature dipped down to near freezing for a couple of nights past and other than that, they're outside all the time now. I'm pleased with how well they're doing.

Still haven't gotten the peas planted into the raised bed but they're outside all the time now and growing very strong. I resowed another couple of pots and they're up now too, happy days.

Aoife and I planted the 1st lot of peas into one of the raised beds last week and they've settled in and are climbing.

They will grow fast now they are in the soil Ladygardener, Mine in Pot 2.0 are flowering. I sowed them way too early to see if I got hungry beasties. When no one came to feast I kind of forgot that I wanted them for shoots. Sugar Snaps it is now. They are too far into producing for me to be willing to cut them short.

Our 1st lot of peas are flowering now, Aoife and I put up string supports for them earlier. We've also planted out another row that were climbing out of their pots. Happy days.

Ah gosh. I have long harvested a full meal for two from my meager bunch and one half one that I used in a stir-fry yesterday. Only a few flowers left and then I will remove the last plants. The courgette are taking over the space.
Ones own peas are lovely are they not. My mange tout are now on my will do it again list. Even sow as early as I did. That early start might just have got them this good. That or the brddy weather which is good for peas.

Sounds like you had good success with your peas Dutchy. There's nothing like the taste of your own home grown peas, ours rarely make it to cooking as we love them straight from the pod. We've been sowing peas in succession this year and have the 2nd lot starting to climb well and flower while the 3rd lot are through the soil in their pots and looking great.
