Awh poor April I think I feel that way when I only have one bloomin weeks holiday a year and all my friends are always packing to go somewhere hot One reason is that I hate to leave my dog - I really pine for her and worry a lot but I know she is well looked after as a friend moves into my house and looks after her Do you feel that way about Sally Maybe you could take a break in the UK they have Holidays with Dogs now where dogs can stay in the hotel bedroom with you After my week away I have come home with more energy - I cleaned out all the kitchen cupboards on the second day back Do try and make a little holiday somewhere even if just a weekend - You Are Worth It ;D

Nah, I'm fine with the dog because Mum and Dad look after her (Mum's baby really). My mum worries about leaving her alone and will take her with her if they go visiting or ask me to stay over and look after her. They won't go out anywhere for long though because "they've got to get back for the dog".
I know this is going to sound awful but I'll say it anyway. When my gran was alive they hardly had any life because they had to make sure they were back to make her lunch and check she was OK. Then she passed away and they could do whatever they liked. Now my mum is doing the same thing and letting the dog run her life.
She's happy though I guess so that's the main thing. And Sally isn't complaining!
I've got some time off coming up in next few weeks I think. I can't remember. I have to rely on work not to put me on the rota to remind me when I'm away lol My boyf still calls me Mike Baldwin cos my memory is appalling sometimes. I was 90 mins late for work on wednesday because I was sure I was working 12-9pm but I should've been in at 10am <coff>
We (boyf and I) were meant to be going to Egypt for a fortnight next easter but finances have conspired against us again (hence the working all the time) so I doubt we'll be able to go. Not unless we get £2500 together by January (donations welcome). Ah well, we've got a home, we've got our health so anything else is a bonus eh?!

Oh yes April I do understand what you mean about dogs running your life My Aunty always had someone that she "had to be back for" if not the dog, before that the cats, before that her husband, before that her Mum - think some of us are made that way I know I have to be "back for my dog" whenever I go out so no hope for me is there I dont think I would like it any other way tho Do hope you and BF get to Egypt - keep me posted jenny wrenn <hug4uandsallysmiley>

I have now started a new Thread called Storm - A Happy Ending so you can see him with his new Daddy He also has a new Mummy and their two children who are devoted to him He is a very brave doggy who has had to leave his home in Preston and move to Cheshire with people he didnt know and had to get on with their cats too - he had a doggy friend he lived with so must be missing him also and of course the family he lived with previously His original Mummy wont visit - it would be too unsettling - but she has been so moved by all the posts sent by caring board members and not forgetting the offer from PG also of a new home As long as Storm is well fed, loved and gets to go on some wonderful walkies I am sure he will continue to be a happy doggy Jenny Wrenn
