OMG! Im so sorry Aprilaydee, you did do everything you could for her though, if you hadnt brought her home, and loved her she might have had a very much shorter life.
Perhaps when you move house, you could get a kitten? Not a replacement but as we said to Dee, every cat-person needs a cat to be complete.

Oh no, what horrible news. I hope you're ok Aprilaydee. Even though you hadn't had her long, you obviously cared about her.
There are probably lots of similarly lovely cats in need of a good home at your local Cats Protection League and RSPCA shelters. Perhaps you could find another one to give a good home to.

I'm so sorry Aprilaydee, how desperately upsetting for you. Poor Penny but as said above she had you to care about her and that's worth a lot. Try and think about that if you can.....XX

Thank you for all your kind words. I'm absolutely devastated. Proved my point that she has no road sense.
Just upset me that someone hit her and didn't stop, I know they don't have to but I wished they had. She has a collar and a tag on but died all alone.
At least I had a good few months with her, shame she won't be seeing my new house that I told her all about.

RAINBOW BRIDGE
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies, that’s been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for our special friends, so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine. so our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals that have been ill and old are restored to health. Those who are hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again. Just as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by. These animals are happy and content, except for one small thing, they miss someone special they had to leave behind. They run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The eyes are intent, the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again, then at last you cross Rainbow Bridge together
Thinking of you, Rainbow bridge gave me comfort on losing my gemma who i think about every day Bill

Thank you. I'm doing alright now. She's been buried next to our other cat who was put to sleep last February so Dabs is looking after her now. Dabs is going to teach her some road sense... We're going to go to the RSPCA place at Bryn Y Maen when we move house and get 2 cats from there. I was going to get another from there in addition to Penny but now it looks like a "replacement" One of our regulars at work had a stray turn up at his door a few weeks back and it's the one I saw a month ago in our car park when we were on our way to ASDA one evening. He's about the same age as Penny too so I wondered if they were brother and sister. Seems odd they were both stray in the same place aroundabout the same time.
