Shads usually sleeps in the sink or bath. I guess if we had a water feature he'd be in there too...

Your pic made me smile Aprilaydee, Bagpuss went through a phase of sleeping in sinks. Never had a cat do this before, but seems quite common...must be the shape.
Got up in the middle of the night and went to the sink for a drink of water and cat was asleep in there. I went thirsty.
Had my old timer (just turned 15) at the vets today....her eye changed colour and has a white ring around the outside. I'm sure she's not got full sight in it. They say it looks normal except for that, they've also taken bloods and will know on Wed what the outcome is then.
She wasnae very pleased at being in the vets. They asked if they could trim her claws. ;D She'll never forgive me as she prides herself on her tallons (the cat not the vet). ;D

I used to have a cat when a little girl called Smutty - he used to let me dress him up in my dolls clothes and I used to push him round in my pram - he was quite happy for this to happen Anyone else got happy childhood memories of their cats

Thanks Karen, will do. She recovered ok from the sedation after a full 12 hours sleep poor thing. She's laying low today.
I'm a bit concerned as they normally do geriatric bloods in house and you get results same day but they are sending some away and they didn't mention the physical examination apart from the eye...so can't help but wonder if they found something they're not happy with ie liver etc....will wait and see what happens on Wednesday. Fingers crossed it's just them being thorough.
Jenny - i recall spotting several kittens in our very overloaded shed as a girl, mum rescued all four of them.....we had them for years and they were such fun....mum wouldn't let them sleep with me so i used to entice them onto the extension roof and let them in the window.....mum used to find me and a couple of cats curled up asleep when she checked before going to bed...ooops.

OH got a call from the vets today....bloods were all fine except for her LFT....was elevated but they said give her age it's nothing to bother with.
I'm relieved that it's just her LFT that's elevated but i suppose that's the problem with the liver in old cats they start to fail due to old age. Just have to keep a close eye on her meanwhile.
