Here's a photo of Holly. She's about 2 and a half years old. And is very elusive. Shy of cameras and strangers. We rescued her one cold winter's night, when my BIL found she and her sister in a wet cardboard box on a remote country lane. He saw the glint of their eyes as they both peeped over the top of the box and stopped to pick them up. They were full of a cold, matted eyes and coughs. We think they were about 6 weeks old. Fortunately with the help of the vet, they were restored to health and came to live with me and OH, and our other four cats (all of whom have sadly died, since - last year was rotten!). She likes a cuddle now and then and always on her own terms! This is Missy, whom we lost on Mother's Day this year. She was delightful, always wanted to be in on everything and we miss her lots.

Yes I do NO. IMHO they're usually the most loving of cats. Though, you sometimes have to work at getting it. Missy always would sit on the keyboard of my laptop and pad my fingers as I tried to type. I often couldn't type as she would sprawl across said keyboard. She loved the heat it generated. I miss her dreadfully. I could do anything with her, she didn't give a hoot. I've never had a cat like her.

Oh isn't she pretty? What a sweetie you've got there Shrubby We had a friend once who had a pedigree Prussian Blue (or whatever) and it wasn't allowed outside. Oneday though it did get out and after a few months gave birth to the cutest tabby striped blue cats!!! The thing was the mother was a bad tempered madam but the kittens all had lovely friendly tempraments. I guess what you say about tabbies must be right!

I've had a few Plocket and always found them to be loving and playful. Loved the tale about the naughty pussy cat - she made sure she had some fun, didn't she?

I think she must have had fun Shrubby!!! I would have loved to have one of the kittens - they were totally worthless of course, unlike the mother But I already had Emmy at the time and she wasn't the sort of cat to share attention ;D The kittens were so cute though - I'm sure you can imagine the bluish hair with lighter stripes and darker stripes. I think some had white tummies too. They really were the product of an illicit liaison ;D

All part of life's rich pattern Tig and Jenny though, isn't it? We'd have wanted her to be with us for longer but it was not to be. Said to OH on the night she went missing that we wouldn't have her long - she was far too trusting, not 'street-wise' at all. Anyway, we have lovely memories of her and lots of pics SR, we've only had one other cat who showed any interest in the TV. There is a dvd you can get for cats - supposed to keep them entertained if they're in the house for long periods. Can you believe it?

Apart from the obvious - BIRDS ;D - Holly is somewhat inscrutable I'm afraid Jenny. She's a bit 'otherly' if you know what I mean?

Shrub, when she's staring up at them like in the first pic, does she make a funny chattering noise?
My cat does when he's birdwatching ;D
