When would it be a good time to have this new pup of ours neutered or is it castrated? We will have to do it as soon as is possible as the other two are girls

My recollection is that it's around 6 months old for a puppy. But if you rang the local vet they'd tell you and you could advance book too! Countdown.........

I'd ask the vet because different breeds mature at different times. They'll know better when you tell them all about your pup.

No, it's a good thing IMO. Stops any un wanted pregnancies and any more pups who might end up in shelters.

What breed is it ? If you let me know, I'll ask my wife for you. She's a vet nurse.

Robin
Mrs FA says the 2nd jab will be due at around 12 weeks old so that'll be next week then !
As for the "chop", she says it all depends when the testicles drop but most large breeds tend to have them done about 7 - 9 months old. She also said that different vets have different policies on this so it may be worth talking to your local vet - she was just advising what they do at the vets she works at.
Cheers FA
