We at Garden World Discussions, Admin respect the privacy of our Members' personal details.....
Admin will not reveal personal information regarding our Members without first gaining their express permission. Admin will not be held responsible for personal information being passed on by other Members. Members who choose to pass on their information to third parties do so at their own risk.
Admin shall not be held responsible for Members posting offensive material and while hoping for normal conversational politeness in threads, would draw Members attention to the following guidelines:
GWD is a community of gardeners spanning different nationalities, ethnic backgrounds, economic circumstances and political views.
Members should respect these differences, and try to ensure that the content of their posts does not offend.
Where differences of opinion appear to arise, Members should try to focus on what they have in common: a passion for gardening - and not get drawn into dispute, nor resort to abuse.
Members are asked not to put Website/Forum Links on their Avatar Personal Text or Signatures, although they may be entered into the member Profile and a request made to Admin for inclusion on the Link Board will be considered. Links to private Blogs, pertaining solely to that member, may be displayed.
If a Member should start a thread or post a contribution/link which in the view of Admin breaches these basic principles or is in any other way discourteous to the original poster, the Member, if online, will be sent a PM inviting them to edit or delete the post or to permit Admin to do so.
If they are not online, the pm is ignored, they refuse to edit/delete or refuse to agree that Admin should edit/delete, Admin may exercise their judgment and delete all or part of the thread with no further notice.
'Self-moderation' - correction, additions or in the case of extreme 'second thoughts', deletion - is of course encouraged, but to preserve the integrity of the Boards, 60 minutes after posting, modification/deletion will become an Admin-only option.
Invisibility is an option that is not encouraged on GWD.
