I was convinced there was already a thread about Tomatillo's but I can't find it. I'm currently browsing next years seed catalogues and wondering about giving these a try ( I like to try and grow something slightly different just for the fun of it!! ;D) Question is... anyone grown them before - how many Tomatillo's does one plant produce, and can you use them in anything other than Mexican salsa? (quite like Mexican food but don't eat a load of it!!) Alternatively, post a reply if you've got an idea of something else I can try which is slightly different from the usual allotment veggies Cheers GH

Thanks for that Busy Bee, I thought I was going mad!! Looks like Tomatillo's are off of the next years seed list...I don't like salsa that much!!

I grew them about 5 years ago - ooh, I thought, these look fun....they went MAD, filled one whole side of my 30' PT and I got about 15 fruits out of all that lot and they were VILE. Never again.
