Today we took our first delivery of Christmas trees.................400 of them in total. It's been very, very hard work unloading them and getting them sorted into type, size etc. Anyway, at around 4.45 a young woman came in with her son and you can imagine the look on my face when she said she'd come to pick a tree I couldn't believe it.....there's another week to go yet before it's even Dec 1st Anybody else putting their tree up yet S xx

I do believe it Susie - We have had living trees in pots for 3 weeks and the first cut trees arrived at the end of last week I'm up to my ears in Poinsettias at the mo' - I am surprised at how many of these we have been selling

How lucky is that -I hate the bloomin' things I read in Garden News that there will be thousands less trees coming here from abroad this year - good news for our growers!

All of our growers are in the UK...........infact, our spruce come from a grower only 10 miles away ;D. Our Nordmans and Frasers used to be poor but the growers are producing 1st class trees now! This also means that they are not cut down too early, i.e. mid October

NO WAY!!!!! Our tree doesn't go up until about a week before Christmas! If she bought a real tree won't it be virtually bare by Christmas Day? I don't approve of cut trees, but have been known to buy a pot-grown tree. Poor little cut trees!!!!! ;D

Don't panic Plocket.....for every one of our trees cut down, five more are planted ;D. They are all low needle drop so will still look fantastic at Christmas

Phew! So what trees do you recommend then Susie - for not dropping needles I mean!

The best low needle drop are Frasers, Nordman and Noble followed by either Scots or Lodge Pole pine!! If anybody tries to sell you a 'no needle drop' tree, then they are lying out of their you know what S x

We've sold a fair few already which I found amazing. Some of them weren't pot ones either so are they going to put them up already?!
The ones outside Conwy Castle have been there a few weeks now too.
