It's my first time of growing these I have purple and green ones but I think my sprouts are in trouble! Can anyone identify the white 'splashes' on the leaves please and what I should do about it ? And if only this was a cabbage !! is this what you call a blown sprout? Thanks! LLx

LL
I'm not a sprout expert but that certainly looks like a blown sprout to me, I believe this happens if there is not enough organic matter in the soil or the soil and the plantlet weren't planted firmly enough, it also happens if there has been lack of watering in dry weather. I bet you could pass it off as a baby cabbage though ;D
I'm not sure about the white splashes, could it be something residule from cabbage white fly? I noticed something similar on my the underside of my Broccoli.

Stake them before they get to big to stop them moving around in the wind. No matter how firmly you plant sprout plants, as they get bigger, they will loosen themselves.
And I agree with the white fly damage - mine look the same!

Hehehe! I could supply them with quite a few too Busybee!
I have just got back from a 'stroll' round the lottie and some of the sprouts are ok even if the stalks are quite 'bent'. SO I will be eating 'me own sprouts' for Xmas dinner! ;D
