two years ago i planted a dual plum tree, and in the high winds one has snapped off, the one thats gone is (was) a victoria, the other one is a golden colour not sure of the type. now do you think it will fruit on its own i know victoria is self pollinating but not sure of the golden one, any advice please

If it is of any help I have found the following info: popular yellow fruited plums are Early Laxton- Partly self fertile mid late summer fruiting. Laxtons Delight - partly self fertile Autumn fruiting. Coes Golden Drop self infertile Autumn fruiting. As you say Victoria is self fertle so I would expect the other to be at least partly self fertile. Those above are eaters while victoria is allegedly a cooker but few get that far in our house! That is the usual combo for dual plums. The pollinator does not have to be in close proximity if someone local to you has plums then this could act as an additional source for pollination.
