Actually I have no idea what this is called but a neighbour gave me the recipe.
Firstly I hate anything sweet, but this is a dream...
For 4 people
12 Meringues 2 x whipping cream (just because we have no other sort in germany) Frozen raspberries (fresh do not work so well)
Break meringues up - i.e. all in a plastic bag and a rolling pin.
Glass dish (just looks nice) and a thin layer of meringue and whipping cream, then more cream, three quarters of the raspberries, then rest of meringue and cream, then rest of raspberries on the top.
TIP - use the raspberries when they are half thawed - otherwise the meringue goes a bit soggy. Put straight into the fridge, - and keep it there until you serve.
You can make as much as you like - but always make more than you think - it really is fantastic.
