not exactly a recipe, but not one for 'help and advice in the garden' either,
I managed to drop some of the juice from a wonderful 'estate-grown' blackberry and apple pie on to a cream quilted placemat tonight.
Leaving aside the wisdom of having a cream quilted placemat within 100 miles of blackberry and apple pie, OM's in deep poo.
Has anyone a failsafe stain removal recipe for blackberry juice that I could quietly suggest to SWMBO?
OM

Sorry no, the best thing I can recommed is dipping them all in blackberry juice, and get a matching set

Hello ,One Christmas my son knocked a full glass of RED wine off the table onto a light gold coloured carpet -it went everywhere!! We blotted up as much as we could with paper towels and then applied carpet foam and with a little bit of elbow grease managed to get rid of the stain. Speed was the answer here but don't know if it would work on a placemat

www.allbaking.net/mf/13/2189Hi OM - I don't know if this link is of any use but maybe too late if the stain has dried. Not that I would know, I got married 'cos I don't know how to use the washing machine <not really a chauvinist smiley>

Welshblue, Don't know how long you've been married but I hope you now know how to use the washing machine. In our house that particular sin would be grounds for divorce! OM, try Vanish, or there is some very good stuff called Stain Devil, you need to pick the right one for your disaster, but they do work. Good luck. Mary

The Oxy Whizz type products work very well too. Pre soak with Oxy Whizz then wash in the normal way. It gets difficult stains like curry and turmeric out.

Soak up as much as possible with kitchen towel and then soak in luke warm water and table salt solution about an egg cup of salt to 4 pints of water. That works for red wine too.
