This is really a Delia receipe which she calls Devilled Chicken and I was preparing it for tonights dinner when I thought of you guys! I call it store-cupboard sauce because it's stuff that I've always got in the store-cupboard/fridge!!! ;D
It will take you about 5 minutes to prepare the dish!
6 chicken drumsticks (I use 2 chicken breasts cut into fillets coz we like lots of sauce!) 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon tomato paste 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup 1 tablespoon oil 1 teaspoon made English mustard or 1 teaspoons powdered mustard 1 teaspoon French mustard 1 teaspoon sugar 1 teaspoon soy sauce 1 teaspoon paprick salt and pepper to taste if required
Arrange the chicken drumsticks (or fillets) in a single layer in the grill pan with the grid removed. Stab with a skewer in several places. In a mixing bowl combine all the remaining ingredients together and stir until you have a gloopy melted-chocolate lookind sauce. Pour this mixture over the chicken and turn them around to ensure they are completely covered. Leave in a cool place covered in cling film for a minimum of three hours.
To cook, pre-heat the grill then cook the chicken for approximately 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked right through. Keep turning to prevent burning and serve very hot with any pan juices.
This chicken is very good with rice (pilau for preference!)
