Does anyone celebrate Thanksgiving, and if so what do you cook? OH and I celebrate it and try to be fairly traditional (and rather like Christmas Dinner), but I would like some new ideas!
I usually do: Roast small turkey or large chicken Sausages Bacon rolls Roast potatoes Roast parsnips Roasted squash Roasted shallots Homemade stuffing Brussel sprouts (or other green veg)
And this year I've made corn bread.

Sorry Plocket, it's just another American tradition that's infiltrating the UK to my mind (unless your OH is American in which case that's a different matter).

We celebrate Thanksgiving because it's very close to our wedding anniversary and it was celebrated when we were on our honeymoon in the US. We had such a lovely day, and meal, that we decided it was a nice excuse to do a meal with all the trimmings, almost as a practice for Christmas!
Has Thanksgiving really infiltrated the UK? I thought most Brits ignored it completely - we certainly used to!!!! ;D
