I think I'd struggle to choose between an egg mayonnaise sandwich with cress in really fresh crusty white bread, or smoked salmon in granary bread.

Funnily enough I had to collect LP from school before lunch today and she was moaning about not having school dinners, so we went to Tescos and bought ready-made sarnies as a treat. LP had her fave: chicken and sweetcorn, and I had chicken, bacon and avocado which was scrummy ;D

Just had a lovely bacon sarnie with tomato sauce and i love the ham, tomato and cucumber with soft cheese and garlic spread sarnies i have for work.....but you really can't beat a grated cheese and onion with salad cream sarnie.....although there's many that come close.

I can't be doing with raw onion - you can taste it for the rest of the day!!! I'd go for a really good cheese and pickle sarnie though.
Mmmmmmm bacon sarnies.......... Andy you are a cruel man: I've had lunch!!! ;D

my favourite has to be egg mayonnaise but with salad cream and not mayo and really chunky cut eggs. Surely that's an egg and salad cream sandwich ;D One of my favourites is probably smoked salmon with cream cheese and abit of black pepper and lemon juice. Bacon and brie (must be ripe) is another.

Oooooooo crispy bacon and brie - delish!
And another sarnie I adore, which you've just reminded me of, is camembert (brie will do) and cranberry jelly. The cheese must be ripe though! ;D

And home grown tomatoes with real white bread. My chooks eggs with mayonnaise.........I haven't had any lunch - getting peckish now. All sandwiches MUST have proper butter too. I can't understand margarine at all............ooh, and tuna with chopped up red peppers in Mayo too. S'no good...I'll have to eat something......

In my days living on my own after my ex-wife left, I never had much money and was working 2 jobs just to keep up with the mortgage payments. My only treat of the week was on a Saturday dinner time when I had sandwich of 2 grilled sausages, a fried egg and fried onions on crusty white bread with a dollop of ketchup.

Derrrr! I thought everyone knew what tiger bread was!
It's bread made from the powdered bones of African tigers instead of flour. Has a distinct nutty taste. You can only get it in ethnic African deli stores, and it's quite expensive.

Tiger bread looks like a bloomer but I think they brush egg on the top when they're cooking it so it gets a nice crackling effect and tastes gorgeous... really soft bread <wipes dribble off chin>

Tiger Bread is an uncut crusty loaf that Morrisons do, the top is patterned like a tiger and it's soooooooooo tasty. It's wonderful Plocket you really should try it. They do Tiger Cobs too but we prefer the loaf.

Mmmmm. I might try and find Tiger bread. As long as it's crusty on the outside (fresh crusty, not stale crusty!!! ;D ) and really soft inside it's fine by me. Do Somerfield do Tiger bread then? And why's it called Tiger bread???

Mine's a BLT with a healthy (?) dollop of mayo and a little tomato. Hmmmmmmmm. Then, hot steak and onion with lots of pepper, then egg mayo, then cheese, onion and tomato, then egg and bacon on toasted bread. I could go on but will stop there. Has anyone had banana butties? Lovely.
