Thanks for that ziggywigs I will have a good look at the sites.
I have previously searched and found lots of recipes for gluten/dairy free but all seem to have yeast included.

Hi Netherfield. Here is a recipe for soda bread. (there is a special mix in the recipe book but the Doves flour should do). 2cups g/f flour. 1tspxantham gum. 11/2tsp bicarb of soda. 11/2tsp cream of tartar. 1tbs organic sunflower oil. 2/3cup g/f d/f milk alternative. Pre heat oven to gm7. 425F, 220C. In a lge bowl mix all the dry ingredients add the oil & rub it in with fingers. Add the milk alt & mix with a wooden spoon to make a stiff dough. Knead into a ball & put on a greased baking sheet. Cut a deep cross in the top of the loaf. Bake for 20 mins. Sorry but it doesn't keep. Needs to be eaten same day. Hope this helps. Janet.

Hello, Netherfield. It has just occurred to me that on the BBC Food Board you can find someone called Paulthebread who seems to know absolutely everything there is to know about bread and baking, so he'll probably be able to help you.
