I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I actually miss the old format. I don't miss Lloyd Grossman though ;D

Agree with you Plockett - we don't all want to be celebrity chefs - even though I went through the training 30+ years ago!

Must admit I like the Geordie Lad who got through yesterday - I like the fact that he uses local and seasonal produce. Andy - If I were having a bet (as most of our team appear to be doing at the moment !!), I think I'd put a few quid on him!!!

I watch this programme even though the fiddling about with perfectly nice food really annoys me! I think the Geordie man will make it too. At least he has integrity and a passion for real ingredients. Hope so anyway.

Can't believe Geordie David 'lost it' in the final cook off last night and is now out of the competition . With the 3 remaining contestants, I'm going to have to now switch to the girl (Hannah), although I think John and Greg like Ben's food the best. I'd have to knock out anyone who makes creme caramel and puts a 'foam sauce' ontop of a peice of fish!!

Well here's a sort of "poll by post":
Of the three, whose restaurant would you rather go to?
I'll start... Hannah.

Hannah for me, she really did get into it once she sorted her nerves out. They were all very pationate about food but she kept her feet on the ground IMO

I thought Stephen would win but I preferred Hannah too - too much faffing about with the other two for me! I'd like to bagsie TWO plates of Hannah's pudding and desserts please (preferably chocolate ones...)

Can I just have the chocolate dessert trio she made for the restaurateurs, but I'll have several portions - someones need to check the standard of them ;D ;D
I think on the day of the final cook off Stephen did the best plates of food and deserved to win
