Ok here we go, and I'll put the ingredients in brackets for you to add to your shopping list:
SATURDAY: Roast chicken/beef/lamb/capon etc (fresh chicken or whatever, potatos, parsnips, shallots, broccoli, sweet potatoes) My stuffing is home-made and is in the freezer, along with chicken stock, but if you need to make stuffing you'll need a packet of bacon, a packet of chestnuts (or a tin of puree), a bunch of parsley, fresh bread and a lemon - blend the lot and freeze in portions.
SUNDAY: Tapas - (chicken breasts - four pack and use the rest later in the week - to cut and put on kebab sticks; good quality olives; manchego cheese; salted almonds; salad as required)
MONDAY: chicken & tarragon pie using leftover chicken from the roast (pastry; tarragon; I'm assuming you've got milk, butter and flour in the house alread; a vegetable to go with it) The chicken is put into a white sauce flavoured with tarragon and is great with french beans.
TUESDAY: Fish Pie (fish from your fishmonger or supermarket - I like salmon and haddock; white sauce made from ingredients in the house, pastry from the pack you bought to make the chicken and tarragon pie; eggs (they really work in fish pie - thanks Chuckles!) vegetables to go with the pie. Make the fish pie using the receipe Chuckles has on the Recipe Board.
WEDNESDAY: Chicken stuffed with chestnut stuffing (from the freezer!) and wrapped in bacon so buy bacon. Halve the chicken breasts to make each into two thinner slices, bung a dollop of stuffing on and wrap with two rashers of bacon - tie the whole thing up with string which you cut off before serving. Buy appropriate vegetables and use stock from the freezer and gravy granules to make gravy.
THURSDAY: Curry using more leftover chicken from the roast and stuff from the cupboard like tinned tomatoes. You will need to buy an onion and whatever else you usually use for the curry sauce. And rice!!!
FRIDAY: take away - thank heavens for that!!! ;D ;D ;D

blimey, I still couldn't be that organised LOL I still don't actually know what we're having tonight. Best mate is coming over from Manchester for a day or two and OH mentioned a chuck out (takeaway) but after today's spending (£98.20 in Pets at Home and £91.50 for Eric) I'm not sure spending anymore money is a good idea... We'll see!

Now that's what I call planning! Choose what you want and get OH to cook it!!!
I prepared everything last night, and got the veggies into the oven, but OH actually cooked the kebabs. He'll be cooking the fish cakes and steak meals too. His home-made chips are fab ;D

Oh Plocket for some time in the kitchen. Now its only OH and me I still have to think about what we need rather than what we fancy. Tend to cook for the freezer - curry. bolognaise, stew, cottage pie etc that I can get out and heat up during the week as I'm far too tired to cook from scratch when I get home from work. Friday night is always take away ;D

I have the advantage that I work very few hours (for a salary anyway ;D ) and it's from home when it suits me. That means I can fit in cooking a meal if necessary, but OH does a lot of the cooking too. And Friday night is take away night here too
