Well it's not just one picture. We had our kitchen ripped out and replaced a couple of years ago so I was going to do before and after ones.
I'm also supposed to be working tonight so I haven't got time !!

Wow, I bet Mrs DG is happy with the end results My kitchen is tiny - I have some pics of how it looked when we bought this house - stuck in 1960s timewarp - and I will try to scan them and share my postage stamp with you all. Had a really big kitchen diner at previous house - and I have got used to working in a more compact space (estate agent talk ;D) Tig

Mine is going to be a B&Q special too, not that much different to that one! We're going to have maple style modern doors with a built in oven and ceramic hob and I'd like a chimney thing like that one. Also having that tile effect laminate in a dark colour with a dark worktop. Not decided on tiles or paint for walls yet...

No Plocket, yours looks 'lived in' def. not a tip ;D Ooo you're so polite MR!!! ;D Actually if we ever won the lottery I'd want the whole kitchen re-done (it was like that when we bought the house) - I'd like one of those HUGE American larder fridges; slate or at least a tiled floor and similar worktops; a HUGE oven and hob...... I'll just keep dreaming. A new kitchen is way down the list after new radiators, new flooring in the sitting room/hall/stairs etc., having the roof re-done or at least checked over properly....

Most of the kitchens on here are either pictures from a interior design magazine or I am a complete scruff - my kitchen looks like a bombsite and thats AFTER I have cleaned !

As you can see my motto is "there is more to life than housework" - anyway who would rather be in the kitchen cleaning than out in the garden? NOT ME ;D

Some nice kitchens here folks ;D
Susie, noticed you have a very similar kitchen to ours including a stainless steel splash-back. Was just wondering what you use to keep yours clean because both myself and Mrs DG are at our wit's ends. We've tried every product on the market and they all smear and it's driving us nuts. Any advice greatly welcomed.
Thanks

Does anybody do any cooking as has been said most of the kitchen look like show kitchens! My kitchen looks like an office/jumble sale/laundry Welllllll...Mrs DG badgered me for ages (fnarr fnarr) about geting the range cooker integrated into our kitchen. I think she just wants to keep it in pristine condition as the most exotic dinner I've had out of it has been fish fingers and chips. Of course, as she always says "If you want something else, you know what to do". Aaargh! Why do you women always do that? Eh, I go out, make the money. The least you can do is cook us men a half decent meal on the cooker we bought for you...and a back rub when we get home wouldn't go amiss either. ARE YOU LISTENING? BTW, good luck to those of you who have a good experience from B&Q. Me? Never again after our last rebuild before this one. Wrong units sent. Wrong doors sent. Wrong work surface, etc. You get the picture. Totally useless.

DG.... have you tried Shiny-sinks? Makes all the stainless steel stuff in my kitchen shiny including the hob, breadbin, kettle and tea, coffee and sugar containers BTW, my kitchen was the cheapest MFI kitchen we could find to fit into the new extension when the Little Fella arrived. I already hate it. But am looking forward to the day we can sit down with someone from Paula Rosa and blow squillions!!!

S x I just bought some 'tesco multi surface polish' it comes in a purple trigger bottle, and it says you can use it on stainless steel. I use it for my cooker top and it works a treat. just spray on, wipe over then buff up with a dry cloth. it leaves a coating on it so next time I just need to wipe it and it comes up great.

Listen you lot, I PROMISE to take a pic after I've cooked a meal ;D. It always looks like a bomb site The only reason the kitchen's tidy is cos there's only two of us, no kids, and I haven't been able to get into the kitchen this last few days S x
