Have you ever tried Blacksticks Blue P - it's a red blue cheese, which I really love. I agree with you - stilton is much nicer on oatcakes. ;D

I bought my dad a selection of 7 cheeses for xmas along with a bottle of red wine. Then I found out he bought 3 blocks himself... Nevermind, he's now got 10 blocks of cheese to eat over xmas and new year lol
He likes the smelly cheeses so I got him stilton, stilton with cranberries, stilton with mango and ginger, stilton with lemon and raisins, st agur, mexicana cheddar aaaaaaand another one I can't remember. Stilton with something else probably.
I got him some garlic sausage too but forgot to look at the best before date so I gave that to him on saturday saying that mum and OH have chocolate so I got him some garlic sausage.

I have pretty basic tastes as far as cheese is concerned. Cheddars or Tuc biscuits with a medium Cheddar or Red Leicester cheese, (washed down with a glass or two of Guinness).

Stilton, or St Agur on crackers, but it has to be at room temperature. Sainsburys do some nice ones which have sesame seeds in.
I do quite like brie, but prefer Welsh or Somerset to french brie.
Also love, large flat mushrooms, with shredded baby leeks and melted Dolcelatta on them (gorgeous with steak).
