We have recently completely changed our garden by filling in a large pond and digging a smaller one on the opposite side of the garden to give us more space for a lawn and flower beds etc. Once the new pond was dug and lined we transferred the water, fish and frogs from the old pond into the new one. This wa in April and evrything has settled down nicely. I sewed some grass seed and we now have a lawn. The wet weather has held us up no end. There are still some paving slabs to be cemented in and a gravel path to lay but we're getting there.I'm pleased with the way the garden is shaping up.I have tried to post some photos, hope this works.

What a transformation! ;D It looks a very professional job, and I am sure it will look even better once you've added the finishing touches. By the way, when posting photos you need to add the image tags on each image individually - you had only done this on the first one, but I have changed that now. Alternatively you could just highlight the url and then click the insert image icon

Here's a picture of the old pond. I was a bit concerned about moving the rose bushes at this time of year, some of them were in bud. but they had to be moved so I cut them down to about 8 or 9 ins tall,re planted them and fed them. Now they have bushed out nicely and have lots of new buds on them. I certainly didn't expect them to flower this year.

Looking good essexgirl. Love the frog, he looks like a happy chappy. We put a pond in a few years ago mainly for wildlife and we get some lovely moments - watching what's going on.
We've also put in a formal pond on the patio which we're going to stock with fish so's we can sit and watch them too - when it's not blinking raining of course!

Oh I know. This recent weather has put a real damper on things. (pardon the pun) Hope we get a chance to enjoy our ponds soon.

Could it be because of this EG EG if you have deleted them, try uploading them again to Photobucket and put them in the same album as you had them in before, that may work. If not send me the new IMG Code links via PM and say which one goes in which post then we can put them back for you If you've moved them to a different album send me the links as above

Worth a try EG, you will need to upload them again anyway so try and put them in the same album you had them in before you deleted. If it don't work send me the new IMG Codes via PM and I can add them back into your posts

Lovely photos EG, its lovely to see the frog. A frog got run over the other day in front of our house.... :'(I was really sad. Our pond is only in its first year, we put frogspawn in last spring and we are hoping that the frogs return and spawn naturally....

That's exactly what we did FF - introduced frogspawn and now every year the frogs raised from that come back and spawn again. We've been out with a torch in Feb. to watch them 'at it' so to speak! They dont seem to mind 'voyeurs' and happily get on with the business in hand ;D
