I'm sure everyone is aware that any falling leaves that drop in your pond will gradually sink to the bottom of the pond and continue rotting, poor fish. I put some plastic mesh over the top of mine last week to stop them falling in

We had a pond in the garden many years ago and we put netting over it which worked a treat. After all the leaves had fallen my OH decided to take the netting on and get rid of the leaves. I am sure he did his best, but he let go at the wrong moment I think and all the leaves fell into the pond.
Shortly after that we decided that another flower bed would look good in the garden.

Pip Oh Pip, that made me giggle. Life's like that sometimes isn't it?

I think it's quite theraputic to 'fish' the leaves out with the net on a nice day.
