Ok, as we're all no doubt poring over the seed catalogues and wandering around displays in B&Q or wherever, a reminder of what we might get up to... shortly we'll suggest two varieties each of: tomato (one plum, one cherry), two runner beans, two French beans, two sunflowers (dwarf and giant), two sweet peas, and two chillies.
As some of you might not want whole packets, we will establish a sort of 'swopshop' where maybe you can agree to send, for instance, half of your packet of white runner in exchange for half a packet of scarlet, that sort of thing... you can use pm's to arrange details, a bit like Plocket did in her great seed giveaway of 2006.
Additionally, as part of the fun is to compare success (and as we said before, pitfalls) you might want to grow your usual chosen variety as well - it'll extend the 'trial'
Remember, there's no compulsion to grow all the varieties we nominate, though it would be more interesting if you grow the pairs.
We'll be back with the suggested varieties in about a week, in plenty of time for buying and sowing.
OM/Rosefriend.
