Don't know if they really qualify as houseplants but I've got 3 big Colchicums that put up a great show in a shallow bowl on the windowsill, but how do I look after them now so they'll do it again next year? Can they go outside, or in the plastic g/house? Should I dry them out or keep watered? Help

Plant them outside with about 4 to 6 inches of soil above the top of the bulb. They like a well drained soil in sun, but the leaves which appear in Spring are rather large and floppy so try not to put them where they may be considered an eyesore. They will soon make quite large clumps and flower for you year after year. Some of our clumps now have 20 flowers on them!
