I have been collecting seeds from Nicotiana Sylvestris"Only the lonely". Tall white tobacco plant. There are so many and these seeds are pretty small so should survive a posting. I thought there might be more people with surplus seeds who would like to share. Perhaps this thread can be used as some sort of seed market. Anyone up for it ? Dutchy

I've grown sylvestris in quite deep shade in large pots under an oak but you have to keep them well watered to make up for it. This year I have white 'dwarf bedder' along a long new border and haven't fussed with watering. I put them in as a filler until I could make the border properly this autumn. The level of shade doesn't seem to matter as much as the condition of the soil where they were planted. Where the soil had no dig over, they were pants (predictably).

Hi Dee as you see Daisy Chain gave the answer. So just send me a personal message with where you want them and I will try to get things through the BT and PTT hurdles. Dutchy p.s. Am adding another post underneath with all the seeds I have left over so perhaps you'd like other things too. I like saving postage stamps.

I'm just waiting for the arrival of some rose seeds, that will hopefully produce this award winning rose, There should be 40 seeds plus 40 free pink rose seeds, if antone is interested in growing roses from seed then let me know. Will swap for any seeds to go to the monthly compy.

Posting these questions here too. Does any one know about restrictions in sending seeds to another country? What is the best way to pack them in case you send them anyhow. Thanks Dutchy

Wow what a beautiful rose!
I'd love to have some of the seeds that are offered as a swap but I've nothing to swap now. I don't think I have anyway. I'm sure I've either given them away or put them somewhere "safe". I had some herb seeds ie Dill/Sage/Thyme/Marjoram and the other one that I always forget (not rosemary) if you want any of those?
I also think one of my Dahlias (figaro mix) has brought forth seeds too <claps> Will investigate that one properly on my day off...
