Or Platycerum bifurcatum Anyone grown these wonderful beasts. We used to grow them on cork boards covered in moss and attach them to the big pillars in the palm house at work. As they are epiphytic (gows on a host plant), they have the ability to take a lot of moisture out of the air. They will grow happily in pots too (see my specimen below). The ones i used to have were over 50 years old and certainly reached 5 feet across !!! They love light and humidity and a bit of warmth.

Lovely looking plant Andy. I'd really love one of those but unfortunatly don't have room for house plants small windows so not much sill space, not much light in the house either to have them elswhere due to small windows

I saw some of these in a GC earlier in the month, they really are lovely plants. Not got anywhere I could keep one unfortunatly

I had one for years, indoors in the winter, in a pot hanging on an old apple tree in summer, it grew really well & last year it vanished after we had had an open garden weekend. I hope it is still well.
