I have just ordered a Keder greenhouse, which is constructed with a very strong kind of bubble wrap, which acts as insulation and diffuses the sunlight in the summer. Does anyone have one or experience of a friend/family member who has one and, if so, what they think of it?

I have no experience of this type of greenhouse, but have just found this pdf link which says that they are in high demand by crofters (small scale farmers) in the Scottish islands. It says that the Keder greenhouse is guaranteed to last at least 10 years even in the extreme (Scottish) weather conditions. It's on page 14 of the pdf... www.croftingfoundation.co.uk/pdfs/Crofter68.pdf

I had a look at Keder website, pity they don't give prices.
I take the attitude that if anyone is reluctant to name their price then it's probably too expensive for me.

They are usually on display at Malvern. If I could afford it and had the space I would have one. They appear to be wonderful structures, no glass to break, very good bubble type polythene, ability to open sides and ends fully for maximum ventilation, masses of space, very strong detachable benches, very resistant to even the strongest wind. The biggest problem is the initial price - (approx £1,500 depending on size) but with all the plus points it would soon pay for itself.

Definitely out of my league then.
