Picked up a very unusual plant that I hadn't come across before at Ikea of all places.
Syngonanthus chrysanthus "mikado". Apparently it's a swamp plant and looks as if it could make a nice Bonsai subject.
Anybody else know it?

Is it a little clump of grass-like leaves with small flowers on rigid stems? We have had them for sale at work. Quite interesting to look at but I think watering has to be spot-on. I must admit that I didn't find them very easy to look after.

Shame shame, my neighbour has/d one, our Smokey paid her Mathilda a friendly cat visit this afternoon and one or the other of them must have thought it was a new version of cat grass, still it might survive.

It's certainly different. Quite happy in my bathroom at present but haven't quite worked out where to put it in summer yet. My bathroom is south facing and too bright and hot.
