I have been given a houseplant, the only information I have is that it's an aralia. Has long, jagged palm like leaves. The stems are white with black markings. Really lovely. Does anyone know anything about them?  |

Sounds like Dizygotheca elegentissima or finger aralia.....a gorgeous but somewhat sensitive plant that can grow reasonably tall. They appreciate a bright place but not in direct sun and love humidity.
Among the pests are red spider mite and mealy bug both of which are easily treated.
