The living room was so neat and tidy before .... Then we brought in *most* of the plants today. Most of the S. American orchids are in the kitchen. There's a few dozen plants near the front door and 15 or so plants still outside or on the breezeway. We need to finds some place to put all thse before we bring more in. ~*~*~ SIGH~*~*~ We need a greenhouse. ;D

C3D, just think of it as an indoor garden and get yourself a greenhouse as soon as you can

I adore house plants C3D especially after looking after our palm house at work for 3 years (see pics below) I'd really like to turn my conservatory into a tropical jungle with some big palms, a bromeliad tree and lots of aroids. The problem is, i can't maintain the humidity needed. Before the flooring went down and the conservatory decor was finnished, i used to damp down the floors all the time and the plants loved it. I also have the problem of using the conservatory for growing bedding in the spring and autumn

CD3......I know how you feel. I have had to bring all my cacti inside for the winter, and along with all the orchids and other house plants, the house (a small cottage) is looking so overcrowded. It hardly seems any time since I put them outside. Oh well, what else can we plant-lovers do

WOW! Andy! I'd love to live in that jungle! My back hurts today but we still need to get all the plants off the plastic on the carpet and situated around the room. But, at least we have time now to do it at our leisure. No fear of frost damage inside the home. There's no room on our property for a GH unless we start taking out some of the trees. Right now we are not willing to do that. My ~dream~ is to buy the Toxic Neighbour's lair and obliterate any sign that it existed and build a nice greenhouse and aviary on that land. One can dream ..... ;D
