What an unusual plant. Wiki says it's common but I haven't come across it before. Do you think it is a money plant Jaistar?

Succulents aren't my thing really, so they all look a bit unusual to me It is pretty and sounds very easy to propogate. Look in tomorrow when there's more folk about and see if anyone can tell you for sure.

I am not into succulents either I am afraid but could it be from the Kalanchoe family - the leaves seem a little similar.

Looks like a Kalanchoe to me but the plantlets on the leaf are making me thing otherwise. Definately not a money/jade tree.

Try a Devil's Backbone? Bryophyllum daigremontianum. That's the fella. It's one of those plants that i've seen 25 odd years ago and knew the name then but haven't seen it since.

I've seen these before and the name Mother of Thousands springs to mind. Those are little plantlets on the edge of the leaves and after I while they grow thier own little roots, I reckon on that last photo you can see some fine roots on a couple that are on the end of that leaf on the right

The annoying thing is that I've seen one of these before. I think my late Grandma used to grow them. Just surfing around, Mother of Thousands/Mexican Hat Plant, aka "Kalanchoe diagremontiana" would be my choice.... davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/12858

Yesterday, when I was looking up something completely unrelated, I came across a picture of this plant and knew I recognised it from when I first joined this board and was having a look around. Great, I thought, I'll post a reply. Having found the thread, I see the query is already answered! so, rather belatedly, I'll say I think it's Kalanchoe diagremontiana! Jsy a few months late.....!

That doesn't matter Wintersday - you don't have to answer queries to join in! Oh and well done because there's no way I would have known what it was!!

I just showed a pic of the plant to my OH and he said oh thats a mexican hat plant. Had to share that with you cos he's so proud he actually knew what sort of plant it was. Can also be called a friendship plant apparently
