it was an Aquilegia Nora Barlow here she is again from the original photo I took, the one you saw I had zoomed in on and cropped it. It's very nice Rita. I'm going to keep that one in mind for next season. I already have a couple of things on my "next season" list so add one more.

Will you people PLEASE stop posting those pics. You'll push me to bankruptcy and there is no more room in my garden for more plants, especially for more clems. Those are gorgeous clems Plocket and Jlottie. No, don't tell me their names, although I think can guess Jlottie's.
And 4P, I'm in the same boat as you as far as a reasonably good digital goes, now that my daughter has gone off to Germany/Austria with hers. Now I have to find some $ for more plants AND a good digital camera. Umm. I wonder if my bank manager will be in a good mood tomorrow.

Poor us TT! And I mean that literally in my case! Bits keep dropping off my car at the moment so no chance of any saving for luxuries......I need someone to get on and invent a Star Trek " beam me up" thingie so I can ritually destroy my car. Shouldn't have said that - now it will refuse even to start this morning....

If you don't think it's hardy, why not name it Laurel?

Lovely, as usual Plocket. We are way behind you guys as far as the season goes, especially this year since we've had a rather lousy spring. My clems are just starting to show new growth so I'm looking forward to that. I gave them a shot of tomato food fertilizer over the weekend. I cut back to the ground my 2 group 3s - medley and gazelle - and just barely did anything to the group 2s. Hope I did it right. I'll post some pics when they start blooming but I think that will be awhile yet.

Hia Trini - I haven't seen you around for a while. I trust you are well?
Our spring has been very sunny and rather dry, and I don't think I'm the only person to have got the hose-pipe out to water the garden! Sounds as though you've done right - you prune back the Group 2s after they've flowered, and pruning to the ground is a tad drastic but they should shoot from the ground. Can't wait to see piccies when the time comes - does that mean you've sorted a camera? ;D
