At last. My own Gertrude Jekyll is flowering again. I might just have new avatar out of the top one! Both photos taken yesterday before the flowers were spoiled by the rain.

Hi Jenny
I have got it in the garden - I love it although it doesn't seed itself here at all - temperature I suppose.
It is Thalictrum aquilegifolium.

Oh thank u RF the name doesnt sound familiar but I have lots of Aquilegas in the garden - I never planted any tho the birds must have brought them - the leaves are similar to Aquilegas so makes sense is maybe part of that family
A really pretty flower

I have a couple of these plants because I think that they are gorgeous and the seed pods look lovely as well. Pity mine don't seed - although there are always loads of seeds, they don't seem to grow. I was thinking of taking some seeds off this year and sowing them next Spring.
The reason for the aquilegia bit is only because the leaves are similar - I don't think that it has anything to do with an aquilegia as such.

My Regensberg Rose is in flower, and I'm in LOVE! Hanky Panky was cheeky and fun, but this is just plain GORGEOUS. Mum wants one now And I must say a BIG thank you to Fozzie because I think he recommended this rose to me. Cheers Fozzie!
