Hum. I guess - it hasn't opened properly yet so I'll reserve judgement, but I think I would have preferred just green! At least they are in a container so I can move them out of the Hot Bed and put them somewhere else next year!

Absolutely. Like I said earlier, it was kinda freaky watching the news last night after what was a glorious day down here where I am. Are you having the same sort of lousy weather in Germany?

The last 10 - 14 days have been lovely for the most part with up to 35degrees and some plants have bounced back a little. Before that we had the same weather as the UK - absolutely abominable.
From tonight we are getting a lot more rain although in Bavaria things have been as bad as the UK in parts, but it looks as though we will have a little luck.

Some lovely shades of pink RF love that Poppy, so delicate. DG's Dahlia is georgous too, looks almost as if it's been hand painted with tiny brush strokes on the petals, really beautiful. Second flush of flowers on this rose, I'm so pleased as the first lot never even got the chance to open, rotted witht the rain Just love this Lavatera, the centre is sooooooo green Pity I planted those Anenomes so close to the Lavatera, colours too similar

Lavatera such a brilliant fast growing plant - I will look out for the pale pinky one next year as I always go for the darker pink
Wonderful for hiding sheds, ugly fences etc ;D

Lovely pix RF what is the name of the first flower - I like its swirly wig centre j w x Hi Jenny Sorry I missed this - the first flower is a Alcae Hybrid (Perennial Hollyhock) - Parkrondell. I also have Parkallee which is a lovely subtle yellow with a red centre. I was told that they are very resistant to Rust and Fungus and this year really has tested them - they look marvellous even after all the rain that we have had. NO - yes it is an Astrantia - the new Abbey Road - gorgeous colour. I do love them. RF
