Ooops, sorry JC, I haven't been on this thread for a while. To be honest I don't remember the variety. It was just a bog standard one from the GC. I'll try and find a label....... ....hmmm, no label. Surprise, surprise! ;D I think it is a sedum spectabile, but as NO says there are loads! I know I bought Autumn Joy, but I think that is another one in the garden. I really, really want a white one.....Iceberg I think. My GC's never seem to have them.

Roan that is a cracker of a flower, looks like a Hollyhocks flower but the leaves look different, what is it. See you have been posting on the other colour threads but not had chance to look at them yet I don't think it's a hollyhock, the flowers are quite small, and it was at Eastwood Hills Arboretum and didn't have a name on it, so it will have to be whatever you would like it to be. For me, the enjoyment is in the beauty and I do love taking pictures of flowers (and anything else that passes the lens).

Don't think so, the leaves may be the give away to its origins. However, you are probably right about it just happening to hang over, it may be a bit top heavy with all the flowers.

I know they're old photies...I just felt like foraging for things to remind me that the garden once contained colour, light and beauty....when I saw these pics they really cheered me up...posted some on the purple thread as well ;D Next year...of course...the border will be even better...the veggies will be even more delicious and the flowers even more stunning...just you wait.... Happy New Year
