They're lovely pictures - is that Lily on the Pumpkin? Nice to see a good mix of ages too - keeping the traditions going. Makes me twitchy for Spring and the start of the growing season though....!
Just seen your pic of Lily on another thread -she's REALLY gorgeous!

It is a lovely village show and very well supported.
As well as the hall there is a marquee with all the Craft classes and also chickens and pets. The local children are all encouraged to enter classes such as 'an animal made from fruit and/or veg, fairy cakes, biscuits and painting and craft work.
The local W.I.s have a big competition, too and it is wonderful to see the work they turn out.
A thoroughly enjoyable day ;D
All the photos are of classes where we were lucky enough to win a first prize.
It is Lily sitting on the pumpkin ;D
Now Christmas is over I can't wait to get those seeds sown etc. ;D ;D ;D

Ahhhh the glorious warm days of last summer! The produce is lovely but I have to say that the pumpkin looks smaller than one of the ones our neighbour grew! The marrow really is hideous!!! Did you enter anything Isabella? And Lily is divine!

Nice one Isabella. The marrow looks like the kind of egg a Klingon chicken might lay. Dutchy

I used to enter the Flower Arranging classes but now I just help OH to get his entries ready - he usually enters about 30 classes The Pumpkin weighed just over 98lbs. Our youngest son ( who is still off work sick at the moment ( 10 months) carved the Pumpkin with the most fantastic carvings of a witches head,a cat,a castle and the word Halloween - it took him a whole day! He took it to a party and then gave it to a local children's Hospice for Halloween - the children loved it - I wish I had a photo to show you!
