They are really pretty and the flowers get darker as they mature. Dutchy had a lovely one a couple of years ago over her shed I think.

I bought three this year, Empress Eugenie, which is scented and has flowered, Purple Haze & Violacea have put on good growth but no flowers, but I'm hopeful for next year if they survive the winter outside. My original ordinary one (grown from seed) always seems to manage and thats in a container |
