I've chucked so many away over the years Jilly, they bulk out really well if they are in hot, dry conditions, I'll happily send you some tubers. I grow them in the front garden, against an East facing fence with gravel boards at the bottom, they get all the sun and heat they need, and the soil is rubbish LG if you have a bit of 'hot' wall that nothing will grow against .... these will! x Tig

Thanks for the offer Tig but I'll decline. I'm struggling with Jasmine's Schizostylis Major but it's hanging in there.

That's a gorgeous osteo Tig. It looks like the one pictured under new plants in the June issue of GW magazine. Here are some from me Richard Pennell (looking a bit washed out for my liking really) And this, which was given to me by my Mum last year, and I have no clue as to what it is called Close up of the leaves Flower when almost fully `out' Fully `out'

I've got it in the garden as well Bagpuss and I think it is a Phyteuma - possibly "scheuchzeri" but someone else will know that...
The only reason I seemed to remember it was the fact that is is used as a homoeopathic medicine - good for bad backs - if it is what I think it is !!

I think you're right RF, Horned Rampion is the common name, very delicate looking plant BP.
I'm hoping to get some of the other colours in the double osteos - I particularly like the 'bronze' and white one

Well, only the best for my garden! Did they win a medal? They're West Country lupins, so the label says.

Iris Hollandica Eye of the Tiger was fully open today and the brown tints on the petals have darkened a bit, so I reckon it fits better here x Tig

Must admit that I quite liked it with the brown stripey petal, it was 'different'. But they stand out better in the border now they've changed colour. All my rescued half-price bulbs came up Geranium - only 5 in the packet though, should have rescued two packets x Tig

We went to "Hutton in the Forest" today, everything is a little late due to the weather but these alliums were quite pretty.

I do love Irises & your Peony looks lovely PJ. Am very pleased that after years & years of leaving the seed heads on, I've got some Christophii babies that are big enough to flower. These aren't them though, these are the originals. Jillyx
