Fantastic splash of colour DK. This is the first year that I haven't grow any, I usually have a couple of baskets with hanging one's in, one all white and one with red and orange together. My Nan always grew them and that's what set me off. Won't be missing another year after seeing yours.

Thanks, I can't say begonias are my favourite either - however, everyone who visits seems to love them!
These are situated just to the side of my front door.

It's amazing how these childhood memories influence in later life.

Hi DK - nice pic - my begonias ( bought as babies from a jumble sale this year) are doing really well, read on Beeb thread ages ago that they weren't popular, but mine are looking really good still, may post a pic tomorrow. And other first this year was Cuphea (sp!) and they are still doing OK. Whereas Petunias, Busy Lizzie and even Marigolds look a bit dead now !!! Hope all is well with you - take care - PA

Hi again mrskp
Yes, those are the one just to the left of the front door on the other photo - this illustrates how photos don't give an accurate perspective of scale.

They're lovely. I don't usually bother with begonias either but I bought a tray from B&Q for 50p (as they were on their way out of this world) and I've had a lovely show for months now. Wll start posting photos when we get everything installed onto our new Windows XP...........

David - is that part of your garden mainly in shade?

Oh goodness no, Rita. It faces more or less due south and is in full sun from sun-up until around 2pm at this time of year.
