I sometimes see them on the way into work but, perhaps fortunately, we don't have them in the garden. BTW I trust that this won't cause some wag to relate the tongue-twister tale of the Pheasant Preparation Person's son... ;D

Oh we have plenty of pheasants in fields surrounding where my parents live, tis the shooting ground. You see them pottering along next to the lanes and you hope and pray they don't decide to walk into the road as you're going past...

We have one too but only in Winter. I named him Theodorus. He scares off the neighbours cats if they as much as try to get at him when he is eating the bluetits food. Dutchy
