That is a lovely and very interesting bloom/plant you've got there LadyG. Can't say I've ever seen it around in these parts. Here's a blue in bloom on this side of the big pond.

The Felicia are lovely Jilly, you must work out which are the seedheads ;D I look at these and think .... tadpoles but on closer inspection they are a tad furry ... but these are more feathery x Tig

I love Anagalis, but the ones I grow from seed always end up spindly little things. I got 2 plug plants from the GC this year & it's really paid off they're a much better shape. Jillyx

There's actually 2 plants in this pic, but the Perle d'azure Clem is exactly the same colour as the Bluebird Hybiscus. Jillyx

Aren't they similar Jilly? I can just see the hibiscus - is that what my 'stick' will be when it grows up?

Sadly no Jasmine, Bluebird is a hybrid & doesn't set seed, I could probably try a cutting though if you'd like (never thought of that before, it should work i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/undecided.gif ) Your stick should come out Pink. I didn't know that Jilly. I'm so glad my stick will be pink! I sent off a while ago for 2 free hibiscus from T&M (I know - what was I thinking!!!) Anyway, one is blue (bluebird maybe ) and one was meant to be pink. The pink one is doing nothing although when I scrape the bare stems they are green underneath. The blue one is flourishing. I've plonked the pink one in a corner to see if it finally does something. If the blue one flowers I'll take a pic and you'll maybe know if it looks like bluebird.

Are they just called 'Asters' on a seed packet Tig? They are callistephus chinensis Geranium, sold as Aster Duchess Ice Blue, annuals. Think they were Johnsons seeds. Chrysanth-like flowers and despite the size of the flower heads mine didn't need much support last year. x Tig
