The old Rectory in Thetford - not sure where that is, sounds very nice but up the posher end! Actually Thetford used to be the capital city of East Anglia. Not many people know that.

Thetford is a nice place apart from the horrid 60s shopping centre right in the middle and the odd riot between our portuguese (lovely deli shop) migrants and the local drunken morons the other year. My OH saw Victoria Woods in a shop there once upon a time. Now that's quite interesting too.

I like the Theford area (Breckland), used to live at Larkshall, 5 miles from Thetford.

Rita
A couple of friends of mine were stationed at Honington in the mid to late 80's. It's a long shot but have you ever encountered Andy Climie or Steve Heard ?
I would just like to state here and now that I think Thetford is a dive ! Well, except the bit that 4P lives in, obviously.
FA x

I don't actually live in Thetford - I'm about 10 miles from all my nearest towns and that's the one I go to mostly FA. You're just not looking in the right places! The town centre is pretty grim but there are some gorgeous little streets around it with very old houses all over the place and don't fprget our ancient walls! X

FA - we knew a Nick Heard - were the guys you mention aircrew? I don't honestly know Rita. I just know that they were both in the RAF and both at Honington at one time or another. Steve only did 3 years I think but Andy is still in after 20+ years, having joined from school. FA x
